Peugeot mills have been used in kitchens around the world for nearly 200 years, becoming an icon of French cuisine. Most of the production process takes place in the Peugeot factory in Quingey, in the Doubs department of Burgundy. Thanks to full control of production, the grinding mechanisms are covered by a lifetime warranty.

Peugeot mills use patented grinding mechanisms dedicated to different spices. Salt mills are suitable for grinding coarse and rock salt up to 4 mm. Pepper mills feature a special spiral-shaped mechanism that ensures optimal feeding and grinding of peppercorns.

Grind size adjustment in Peugeot mills can be done either through traditional smooth adjustment by tightening the knob at the top of the body, or, in mills with the u’Select mechanism, by choosing one of 6 predefined settings.

Peugeot’s eco-responsible policy ensures that the wood used for mill production is PEFC-certified and mostly sourced from local forests in the Franche-Comté region. Only solvent-free paints and varnishes, safe for health and the environment, are used for finishing.
